On 1 July 2025 Vietnam reduced its 63 provinces and cities to 34, and the district level of local government ended on the same date. Ho Chi Minh City absorbed Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Da Nang absorbed Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa absorbed Ninh Thuan, and Hanoi kept its boundaries.
For a buyer, the practical effect is the address. Give the ward and the current province or city name when you order, and ask for the delivery time to that address in writing rather than for the city as a whole.
